蘇州(同里)阿德科特學(xué)校是阿德科特在中國(guó)落地的第三所分校,學(xué)校坐落于千年歷史名城同里古鎮(zhèn)景區(qū)內(nèi),占地一百余畝,為原同里中學(xué)舊址。校址因1902年金松岑先生創(chuàng)辦的同川自治學(xué)社(前身為清代同川書(shū)院)而,近代中國(guó)文學(xué)家柳亞子、中國(guó)社會(huì)學(xué)奠基人費(fèi)孝通均師從金松岑先生。校園內(nèi)草木蔥郁,文物保護(hù)單位、學(xué)生教育基地天放樓和紅樓靜然守望,訴說(shuō)并見(jiàn)證著七千余年崧澤文化的厚重。學(xué)校嚴(yán)格按照英國(guó)學(xué)校的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)進(jìn)行設(shè)計(jì)改建,配置有包括創(chuàng)新實(shí)驗(yàn)室,氣膜體育館等諸多設(shè)施設(shè)備。

IB課程即國(guó)際文憑組織IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization),成立于1968年,IB是International Baccalaureate(國(guó)際文憑課程)的簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng),最初是為外交官子女以及世界優(yōu)秀中學(xué)生而開(kāi)發(fā)的課程,是公認(rèn)的國(guó)際教育領(lǐng)跑者。全世界2100多所大學(xué)承認(rèn)IB國(guó)際文憑,其中,牛津、劍橋、哈佛、耶魯?shù)仁澜绱髮W(xué)都?xì)g迎IB畢業(yè)生報(bào)讀。

MYP(Middle Year Program)是國(guó)際文憑組織為11-16歲學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì)的中學(xué)項(xiàng)目,強(qiáng)調(diào)只是綜合、國(guó)際文化和國(guó)際交流,是大學(xué)預(yù)科項(xiàng)目的銜接。蘇州阿德科特,通過(guò)國(guó)際文憑組織IBO審核,正式成為MYP候選校。初高中一貫制的特色是我們打通知識(shí)體系,整體設(shè)計(jì)課程的重要保障,可以在程度上滿(mǎn)足學(xué)生的個(gè)性化發(fā)展需求,實(shí)施個(gè)體的化發(fā)展。

初中階段,用IB課程框架(理念、方法),事實(shí)中國(guó)國(guó)家課程(內(nèi)容、載體)。中國(guó)國(guó)家課程是我們課程體系的“內(nèi)容”與“載體”,是我們對(duì)中華文化的守望與傳承,回答了我們課程“教什么”問(wèn)題。但傳承不能排外,而洋為中用,在“怎么教”上,我們則采用IB的框架,因?yàn)镮B是世界公認(rèn)的最先進(jìn)的教育理念與方法。

Middle Year Program (MYP) is a secondary school program designed by the International Baccalaureate Organization for students aged 11-16, with an emphasis on knowledge integration, international culture and international exchange, which is the best link to pre-university programs. Adcote Suzhou, through IBO's evaluatuion, officially became an MYP candidate school.

In the middle school, the Chinese national curriculum (content, carrier) is implemented using the IB curriculum framework (concept, method). The Chinese national curriculum is the "content" and "carrier" of our curriculum system, which represents our guardianship and inheritance of Chinese culture, and answers the question of "what to teach" in our curriculum. However, inheritance cannot be exclusive, and thus as to "how to teach", we use the framework of IB, which is recognized as the most advanced educational concept and method in the world.
